Year 5 Residential 2025 - Alderford Lake - Thursday 19th to Friday 20th June
Welcome to our Alderford Lake Residential information page.
We hope you will find all the relevant information you need regarding our upcoming residential - our exciting trip to Alderford Lake in conjunction with getoutsidetheclassroom (https://getoutsidetheclassroom.co.uk/about-gotc).
It will take place on Thursday 19th to Friday 20th June 2025. Activities during their stay will include: archery, rock climbing, paddle sports, bushcraft activities and preparing their evening meals. They will also experience sleeping under the stars in bell tents for the night.
As we will be taking a coach to Alderford Lake, the children will come into school as normal on the Thursday. We will then return on the Friday via coach, and we are due to be back at Tarporley Community Centre at approximately 7.30pm that evening. This means the children will enjoy two action-packed days at Alderford.
Please be aware that we will be hosting an information evening on Monday 2nd June at 4.30pm - this will take place in the Kestrel classroom. Both parents and children are welcome to attend.
This will give you and your child the opportunity to find out about some of the activities planned as well as giving you the opportunity to discuss any other queries which relate to the residential.
In readiness for the residential, we will send out a Form C that needs to be completed and returned by the week commencing Monday 2nd June and we have also sent you an advice booklet that includes the kit list.
