Welcome to Tarporley Church of England Primary School
Tarporley Church of England Primary School is a welcoming, inclusive and aspirational school at the heart of the Tarporley community. We provide education for children from 4 to 11 years old, helping every child to grow in confidence, develop their talents and let their light shine.
Our Christian vision is rooted in Jesus' words:

Our curriculum is built around our BOOKS approach, which places high-quality books and reading at the heart of teaching and learning.
Through our curriculum, we aim to develop children who:

are OUTWARD-FACING – understanding and engaging with their local, national and global community;
experience memorable OPPORTUNITIES – developing curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of learning;

nurture SPIRITUALITY – developing their social, moral, cultural and spiritual wellbeing.
We believe that books open doors to new worlds. Our books-based approach enables children to develop rich vocabulary, deepen their knowledge, make meaningful connections across subjects and develop a genuine love of reading.
Our School
Tarporley CE Primary School has been educating children in the local community since 1849. Our original sandstone building remains an important part of our school and now houses our hall, kitchen, library and small-group learning spaces.
Over the years, the school has developed considerably. Our buildings and facilities have been extended and modernised to provide an attractive and stimulating environment for learning, while retaining our strong links with our history and local community.
Our school is situated on Park Road, close to the centre of Tarporley, with views towards the surrounding Cheshire countryside. We are fortunate to have a range of facilities and outdoor spaces which support learning, sport, creativity and outdoor experiences.
We are proud of our school and the strong relationships we develop with children, families, our local community and our church.
