Achievement & Performance Results

Given the uneven impact of the pandemic on school and college performance data, the government has said you should not make direct comparison between the performance data for one school or college and another, or to data from previous years.

The government with not publish Key Stage 2 school level data for the 2021 and 2022 academic year. They have archived data from 2018 to 2019 academic year because they recognise that the data from that year may no longer reflect current performance.

Tarporley CE Performance Tables

2016 saw changes to how children are assessed at the end of KS1 and KS2. Here is a summary of the main changes from the DFE.

Main changes to 2016 performance tables

Primary performance

• Key stage 2 national curriculum test outcomes will no longer be reported using levels, and instead will be reported as scaled scores.

• Key stage 2 national curriculum teacher assessments will be reported against the new interim frameworks for teacher assessment.

• The headline measures will be:

  • the percentage of pupils achieving the expected standard in reading, writing and mathematics
  • the percentage of pupils achieving the higher standard in reading, writing and mathematics
  • the school’s progress score in each of reading, writing and maths
  • the pupil’s average scaled score in each of reading and mathematics

• A school will be above the floor standard if: o 65% of pupils meet the expected standard in reading, writing and mathematics (ie achieve that standard in all three subjects) or

  • the school achieves sufficient progress scores in all of reading, writing and mathematics

More information on the changes can be found in the DFE document at the bottom of this page.
