Ideas to do at home!

Our BOOKS curriculum sets high expectations of all learners. We encourage our children to be brave, take risks and show resilience in the face of challenges. Our parents are incredibly supportive of their child's education and we know they like to find out ways to help further their education at home. For ideas of things to do at home with your child then please look back over the weekly blog from this year.  Each week includes games, links and information which you can work through as a family.

We have collated some other ideas below:

Reading:

  • Read your home reading book/ Oxford Owl book four times at home.
  • Watch the Alphablocks- https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/b01cz0p1/alphablocks
  • Share stories at home. Ask your child to pick out words you think they can read indpendently, retell the story in their own words and then ask them questions about what happened. e.g. how did the character feel? Why? What might happen next? Where did they find the box?
