Over the year we are privileged to welcome many members of the community into our school. Over the year we meet many different people and visit places within our community to help us learn and grow our brains about life outside of our school.
In November, Kian's mum came in to talk to us about Diwali and shared lots about this tradition. Through this we were able to create rangoli patterns. We also took part in a dance workshop to retell the story of Rama and Sita through expressive arts. We look forward to celebrating Eid with Isaac later in the year.
In January, we held our very own Career's week! After reading Tim Minchin's book 'When I Grow Up' we invited our Reception parents in to talk to the children about a wide range of jobs to inspire them for the future. We had an NHS doctor, a physiotherapist, a theatre director, a surveyor, a nursery nurse, a 999 responder and firefighter and some engineers! We also had PC Ferraira and PC George come into chat to us about ways in which to keep ourselves safe in and outside of school.
