Welcome Back - September 2024
I hope my email finds you well and you have all had a wonderful summer break.
It is wonderful to see our children looking super smart in their school uniform. Thank you for supporting our uniform policy which instils a real sense of pride and belonging in our children. Don’t forget we have a wide range of pre loved uniform at the front of the school. Feel free to help yourselves to what you need, we do ask for those who can afford it, to leave a small donation per item and this money is then added to our ‘Family Fund’ which helps any of our families who are struggling, but don’t qualify for pupil premium. Donations of clean, good condition pre loved uniform and shoes are always welcome.
Attendance and Punctuality
As we are at the beginning of a new school year, I wanted to take a moment to emphasise the critical importance of regular school attendance for your child's academic success and overall development. I will be writing to you with more details of the new guidance which is now in place regarding attendance.
I also want to highlight the importance of arriving at school on time. Punctuality sets a positive tone for the day and ensures that your child does not miss out on important instructions and activities. Gates are opened at 8.35am and the school day begins at 8.45am. Being just 5 minutes late each day equates to 3 days of lost learning over a school year for your child.
Meet the Teacher will be a face to face meeting with your child’s class teacher to find out about the coming year. These will take place next week as follows:
Tuesday 10th September
4pm – Dormice (Rec) with Miss Selwyn
4.30pm – Snowdrops (Yr3) with Miss Church
