Marathon Sponsorship
Dear families,
Over the past year, two members of our staff have been under the excellent care of The Walton Centre, a specialist for neurological care. To say thank you, we have chosen them as a charity to support for the rest of the school year. One way that we will be raising funds for The Walton Centre is by sponsoring Mr Brown, who will be running the London Marathon in April this year.
We are also giving all children the chance to run a marathon in between now and the 27th April and raise money themselves by getting sponsored. To complete a marathon, children who want to will need run 131 laps of the daily mile track. This equates to roughly 2 laps per school day. Please see the attached sponsorship form and tracker for children who want to take part.
To help Mr Brown get ready for the marathon, children in Year 5 and 6 are invited to run with him on the daily mile track on a Thursday lunchtime. This can be signed up to in the usual way for clubs.
