School Disco

Dear all,
We will be having a disco in the school hall on the 7th February. This will be done in 3 groups as follows:
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2: 3:30pm -4:30pm
LKS2: 5pm - 6pm
UKS2: 6:30pm -7:30pm
Last year the disco event raised over £1000 for the PTA. An example of how these funds are being used this term to enrich the classroom experience in school is provided below:
In the Spring term a pilot project will run in LKS2 where the children will make an exploding volcano, using pneumatics, and adding a light up element using a new kit and associated planning and resources which was purchased through funds raised by the PTA.
This kit contains a great set of resources which can be used on multiple projects for the years ahead.

· 16 x Push Switch
· 16 x Battery Boxes (with short circuit protection)
· 16 x Croc leads)
· 16 x Micro USB Cables
· 32 x Geared Motors
· 32 x Wheels (to fit motors)
The kit and training will enable us to create some really fun, engaging projects which we will develop across school into the summer term and the next academic year.
Full details of the disco will come home with your child shortly in a letter.
In order to run the disco we will need a minimum of 8 helpers for each disco whose child is within this Key Stage. This is to ensure that when we are doing the dismissal that helpers know the parents from that Key Stage. If you would like to help out, please sign up via the link below.
