Reception Quarry Farm Trip

Start: 6th May 2022 8:30am

Crown Sand and Gravel Farm Quarry

Cheshire Wildlife Trust have offered EYFS the chance to connect with the wildlife in our local area by visiting Crown Sand and Gravel Farm Quarry for a day learning about habitats. The staff will then visit us in the final half term to continue with the children’s learning on the school site. During our day the farm we will be taking part in a nature walk, pond dipping, meadow sweeping and doing a woodland scavenger hunt. The best part is, Cheshire Wildlife Trust are paying for both days…and the coach!

We are planning to visit the farm on the 6th May, arriving at 9:30am and coming back to school for 3pm. For the day the children will need a packed lunch and a drink. If your child requires a packed lunch from school, please circle the packed lunch option on the form below. The deadline to hand the slip in for is Friday 22nd April this includes permission for to go on the trip.  All children will need to carry a small rucksack for their lunch and a drink.

All children should wear comfortable bottoms and appropriate shoes for the activities. Children must wear their school jumper. Your child will need a coat if the weather is bad and hat/sun cream if it is hot. The centre recommends bug repellent is applied in the morning if the weather is nice too.

Please feel free to pop in and see your child’s class teacher with any queries you may have.

Kind regards
