Mrs Harrison would say that teaching Reception is 'in her bones and heart'. Having taught every year group at least twice in her 20 years of teaching in Bournemouth, she moved back to Cheshire 3 years ago and has been welcomed into the Tarporley community with open arms. She misses the beach a lot but loves being back with family. She is also very excited to be back in the EYFS environment where every moment is a phonics moment and every minute a learning minute! She has lots of Early Years experience, used to be an EYFS moderator of other schools and believes that this foundation year is about setting you and your child up for the rest of their academic journey.
Mrs Woods is an amazing TA and will be Mrs H's right-hand person. You will have as much contact with her as you will Mrs H. She will be responsible for helping to assess your child on the EYFS profile, moving their learning forward, being a thoughtful figure of comfort and joy and a great story teller! She has 2 children who have recently been in reception. She is creative, clever and kind. Mrs Harrison and the hedgehogs are very lucky to have her.
