Admissions Information - Joining Tarporley CE
Would you like your child to join the Tarporley CE Primary School family?

Reception Admissions
If your child was born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023 they are due to start primary school in September 2027.
Applications open on 1 September 2026 and can be made online through Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWAC).
We have 30 places available in our Reception class each year.

Cheshire West and Chester County Council policy ensures that all children living within a catchment area can be offered a place at a school near to their home. However, parents can express a preference for a school which is not necessarily local to them. If the preferred school is below its admission limit for the relevant age group a place will be offered.
Where schools are oversubscribed, places are allocated in the following order of priority:
Pupils living within the school’s catchment area
Pupils with brothers or sisters in the school
Pupils for whom personal/domestic circumstances presented by parents justify, in the Authority’s view, admission to a particular school.
Pupils living nearest to the school.
Cheshire West and Chester Council is responsible for managing school admission appeals where places are unavailable. Details can be found on their website.
In Year Admissions
Applications for places in all year groups, including Reception during the school year, are managed by the school.

During the summer holidays, applications submitted after 16 July will not be visible to the school until 1 September. If you apply between these dates, please complete the online application form and email admin@tarporleyce.cheshire.sch.uk so that we can check your application as soon as it becomes available. Emails are monitored periodically throughout the school holidays.
