Sickness + Diarrhoea
As we go into autumn/winter, common illnesses can keep children away from their classmates and studies.
Anyone who has diarrhoea and/or vomiting should stay at home.
Do not return to work or send children to school until 48 hours after the symptoms have stopped and do not visit your GP or hospital while symptomatic.
The 48hrs will start from the last bout of sickness/ diarrhoea and NOT the first bout. Even if your child is well 24hrs after they must remain off for the next 24hrs.
If your child is in school before the 48hrs we will call and send your child home. Its important to follow the guidelines to stop the risk of spreading germs.

If you are concerned about your symptoms, talk to your GP by phone, contact NHS 111 or visit the NHS web pages.
