Compass - Important Information
We are very excited to share with you that we are now ready to launch Compass Education which is our new communication tool.
As mentioned in previous correspondence, we will be rolling Compass out gradually. Eventually you will be able to do the following in the Compass app:
· View 'My News', a news feed of school announcements, alerts and updates.
· Monitor your child's attendance and enter in explanations for late arrivals or absences.
· Update your family contact details.
· View the school calendar.
· Book parent evening appointments.
· Download and view your child's annual reports.
· Pay and provide consent for events, trips and school lunches.
· Make Canteen orders for your child’s lunches.
From 1stApril, all general correspondence (letters, notifications etc.) will be through the Compass Education app. Please ensure you have downloaded this to allow a smooth transition.
In the coming days you will receive an email with your login details and a link to a user guide (please check your SPAM folder if you have not received it). There will be one for each parent who we hold an email address for. Before you can start using the portal, you will need to confirm/update your contact information. This is to ensure that any communication sent via Compass to your email or mobile phone is delivered effectively.
Once in the app, on the home screen you will be able to view any children you have at school on the left hand side of the screen and on the right, you will be able to see any alerts or notifications and News Feed items.
In the coming months, payments for school lunches and trips will move from ParentPay to Compass. We will notify you once this is ready to launch. This means you will have the benefit of one app for all school related administration.
