Youth Connect 5 Session

We are thrilled to be able to offer Youth Connect 5 for the parents of our children in Year 4 and 5 for next half term. Youth Connect 5 gives parents and carers across Cheshire and Merseyside the knowledge, skills and understanding to help their children develop strong emotional wellbeing through resilience-building techniques. Parents and carers play a pivotal role in promoting the knowledge, skills and environment that can help children cope with adversity. We recognise parents as experts on their children; Youth Connect 5 is designed to be supportive and build on the knowledge, skills and expertise that some parents and carers already possess.
Youth Connect 5 was originally written by Elysabeth Williams from Public Health and psychologist Dr Martin Powell, and developed by Merseyside Youth Association to help parents and caregivers to support their children’s mental health, wellbeing and resilience. Miss Nicholas (SENCo) and Miss Sims (ELSA) will be running each session and will be able to tailor the sessions to the families who attend. If you would like to attend please complete the questions below. All sessions will be held at school. If we don't meet the minimum we will unfortunately not be able to run these sessions. The dates are:

On completion of Youth Connect 5, you will have learnt new skills and approaches to connect with your children. These skills will enable you both to build strong resilience, positive emotional health and wellbeing, whilst understanding why we feel the way we do.
