Y1 visit to Bunbury Mill
Start: 23rd May 2016 9:15am
Duration: all day
The mill is a wonderful, local resource and has a range of learning opportunities for the children, linked to Science, Art and History. As part of our Science work, we have been finding out about how plants are used by people and we will have chance to see this in action through the mill demonstration. We will also be exploring the environment around the mill, looking at the physical and sensory qualities of plants, as well as the habitats they create. We are also hoping to complete some artwork on the day.
The children will need to wear their school jumpers for the trip but should wear comfortable trousers/leggings and suitable footwear for damp conditions. They will also need to wear a warm, waterproof coat.
The children will all need to bring a packed lunch. As your child is entitled to a free school lunch, this can be provided by the school. Options for this will be on the lunch menu for the appropriate week.
