PTA

* Next meeting date: Monday September 17th September 2018, 7.30pm *

Volunteers needed
Would you like to get more involved in supporting our school? We need committed members to join our team. Please speak to any of our PTA Representatives or come along to our next meeting.

New members are always made very welcome, please don't be shy!  Just email tarporleypta@gmail.com if you would like to attend. We usually meet at school on the 3rd Monday of every month during term time, they are informal gatherings over a cup of tea and biscuits, with a few mums and dads and PTA staff representatives.  We discuss what fundraising activities we can do next and how to best allocate money raised in the interests of the children, so it's a good opportunity to have your say! For example we recently funded a new piano for school and we are constantly looking at ways to raise funds to pay for the lease on the school minibus, which is funded entirely through the PTA.

Even if you are unable to make the meetings, we are always looking for helpers to help at events, such as setting up stalls for events, serving drinks, baking cakes, selling tickets, helping with arrangements, etc etc, so there are lots of ways in which you can get involved, as much or as little as your time allows.

Your current PTA

Your PTA is a committee of parents and teachers and an army of willing volunteers. We organise a range of social and fundraising events throughout the year, such as the Christmas Fair, Tarporley Beer Festival, a themed Summer Ball, Summer Barbeque, Fashion Shows, Bags2School, Mother's & Father’s Day Gift shops, Family Bingo nights, Film nights, School Discos, Cake Stalls and Christmas cards. We also produce a newsletter once a term, which gives you an insight into the fundraising activities. You can download them from the bottom of this page.

Earn donations for the school every time you shop

Co-op Local Community Fund
As a school, we have registered with the local Co-op store to receive money from their Local Community Fund. If you are a card member, you are able to log in on www.coop.co.uk/membership/local-community-fund and choose the community project you would like 1% of your Co-op branded purchases to go to. We would be very grateful if you could choose our project and help raise funds for our school.  It is a fairly simple process to complete, however please speak to the school office staff if you need any assistance.

Easyfundraising
Also, do you ever shop online at Amazon, Sainsburys, Tescos, M&S, Debenhams, Next? (to name but a few); renew your car insurance online? Buy office stationary supplies? Or Even book your holidays online with booking.com, Tui, Thomas Cook, Lastminute.com etc?  Then why not earn some donations for the school the easy way by signing up, selecting tarporleypta as your cause and downloading the donation reminder at www.easyfundraising.org.uk.  It doesn't cost you a penny to register, just a few minutes of your time to set it up.

Please note: Donations are different with Amazon and eBay. If you're shopping with Amazon and eBay always make sure your basket is empty before you start shopping, then go to the easyfundraising webite or app and search for Amazon or eBay - easyfundraising will take you to the relevant website and order as normal.
